We were both fortunate enough to grow up in Christian homes – so there was never a time in our lives that we did not know that God exists. We were also both educated in schools with a deep emphasis on Christianity and Christian morals. Our respective homes and communities gave us a good foundation in the teachings of God, but even so, we both have always felt that there is much more to Christianity than what we knew.

All our lives we have strived to live good and purposeful lives, hoping to please God in everything we did. However, along the way, our failures led to self-condemnation, guilt and shame. We were both very broken and lonely people with a deep hunger and longing to get to know God personally. Together we sought God through reading the Bible, listening to teachings and reading many books, but we still felt that we never encountered the Father personally through these mediums.

We have experienced great joy in our lives, but also much pain, deep loneliness and despair. We longed to have a deep personal relationship with God, never knowing how deeply our heavenly Father desired to father us in all aspects of our lives. We knew and accepted Jesus and had an encounter with the Holy Spirit, but we did not know God as our true Father. We lived as orphans in an orphaned world.

We both worked very hard in our respective careers but despite the successes achieved, our striving and toiling did not fulfill the longing in our hearts which yearned for something we could not put into words. Daily we cried out to God for help and asked Him for a deeper revelation of who He is. It was in these times of struggle, that God started to reveal Himself to us.

The breakthrough came when we had the opportunity to attend some of the “schools” presented by Fatherheart Ministries International. Here we encountered the Father’s love, tangibly! God’s Love is a substance and not just a concept. Our lives have never been the same since.

Along with the Love that we could now perceive and receive, we also received grace and freedom from the condemnation, guilt and shame. We received the absolute fact that God has a good plan for our lives and that the Holy Spirit indwells us and guides us into His amazing plan. We are learning to receive supernatural health as we are learning to lean on Him for all our provision. Faith rises up as we encounter His love. Everything we do, we want to do out of His love. We want to see everything through the lens of God’s unconditional love and eat from the Tree of Life and avoid eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

God is love. As Jesus is, so are we – in this world. We are love. We have been filled with the very nature of God and are seated with Christ in heavenly places. It is from this position that we are living from. Day by day the Holy Spirit is teaching us how to live out of the bosom of the Father, in Christ, and to let love guide our hearts and our minds.

Every person on earth has been created with an inborn need to be loved by our true Father – the heavenly Father. If we have not encountered and received His love, we remain as orphans in an orphaned world, striving to please God, yearning for acceptance and approval from people around us. In our orphaned state, we are able to “work” for God with the hope of becoming acceptable to Him and earning His blessing. Orphans are unable to live out of the rest trying to earn a good living by working hard and long hours. When consciously living as sons of God, God does the work in and through us, allowing for us to live out of rest and not toil.

We have been commissioned by the Father to impart the message of His loving Fatherhood to His people. Jesus came to earth to restore our false image of who God really is, to reveal Him as our true Father and to bring us back into our true identity and to live in true sonship with our Father.

Once we encounter the Father’s love and learn to live in and through His love, we are transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ. As we learn to open our hearts to Him and receive a revelation of His love for us and our righteousness, which is Christ’s righteousness, we can then enter His rest and live from a heavenly perspective. Faith arises in us, as faith works through love. Everyday becomes an adventure with Him, in the sure knowledge that He is for us and with us, leading and guiding us into the path He has prepared for us.
